Fruit of Annona muricata, a broadleaf, flowering, evergreen tree native to South America. Soursop contains significant amounts of Vitamin C, Vitamin B1 and Vitamin B2. The Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center lists cancer treatment as one of the "purported uses" of soursop.
